Supporting Atlanta University Center Students During the Holiday Season
The True Blue 1881, Inc annual Thanks and Giving Scholarship dinner is a cherished tradition for students in the Atlanta University Center (AUC). Created out of compassion when the founder discovered that some AUC students were hungry or unable to return home for the holidays, this event is designed to ensure every attendee feels supported, celebrated, and cared for.
No student who registers and attends will leave empty handed—each guest receives gifts such as toiletries, gift cards, and more. The evening features a homecooked meal, a live DJ to set the festive mood, and opportunities to make meaningful connections with HBCU alumni.
Scholarship opportunities abound, and with the exception of one, they are not based on GPA, making them accessible to a broad range of students.
